Maduka Okoye; Still Vengeful On Nigerians, Rejects National Call Up For a Second Time.

Super Eagles goal keeper, Maduka Okoye, is set to miss the friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador, as well as the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana, due to an alleged shoulder injury he’s been playing with since April 8th against Ajax.

Sparta Rotterdam & Watford doctors have agreed that he must get full rehab before the start of the new season. Nigerians have however, responded to the goalie and tagged his claims as “VENGEFUL” all in a bid to avoid making an appearance for his country again, as many claimed he is only doing so, to get back at Nigerians.

This comes after the Super Eagles of Nigeria crashed out of the 2021 AFCON round of 16 stage, in which Maduka Okoye failed to stop a long range shot by Tunisia’s Yousef Msakni, who fired from outside the 18-yard box, leaving Maduka Okoye at the mercies of angry Nigerians, who took to their different social media handles to reign curses, threats and abuses at him.

Reports claimed that Maduka Okoya deactivated his Instagram social media account, due to the severity of trolls, threats and insults meted on him via his Instagram and Twitter comment section, as well as vile messages being sent to his inbox.

The Sparta Rotterdam goalie did not make an official statement on that. He had however, stayed off social media and had remained focused on putting up tremendous performances for his Loaned side, whom he was instrumental for, in a fight to climb out of the Eredivisie relegation zone, in the final games of the season.
